It takes a really impressive product to get my attention. Ive been struggling with seriously tight muscles for years. First an accident left my right shoulder frozen (scar tissue), followed by caregiving/lifing, now desk work. Ive tried PT & many at home treatments- massage, tools, rollers, shiatsu, etc. I was hesitant because this tool was a bit pricey, but honestly after 2 uses, I can see its worth every single penny.It has gotten into places that haven't been released for years. It is quite harsh, so please go easy at first. If you've had deep pressure body work before, youll know this is the necessary hurt that goes with repair.I am so grateful I found this

This tool works really well in a bunch of different ways, including access to tight suboccipital muscles. It's painful but helpful, however I'm not sure very thin folks or elderly folks should use it since it really digs in and is not padded at all. It works well for my needs.However- I do not think it should cost more than $50. It does seem like it'll last my entire lifetime, but that price is pretty steep for the average user, even for an independent company, $79 is quite high.

Okay, so I've only used this thing for one day so far so my review may change over time. But for now I do have to say that I am very impressed.A little history about me first- when I was 17 I injured my right shoulder in a throwing accident. I'm 43 now and my shoulder has never been the same. The shoulder is very prone to inflammation and quite often has a clicking sound within the joint throughout certain movements. In spite of this I've remained active throughout the years.My initial experience with this device has been quite interesting. It took a few minutes for me to figure out how to use it and where to place it on my back, but once I figured that out I quickly understood how this item could be beneficial. I placed the item on the floor and laid on it as described in the instruction manual. After some adjustment I found the correct positioning to get deep into the muscles of the mid and upper back around the shoulder blades. After a few minutes and rounds of very painful release I'm happy to say that my shoulder is no longer clicking my and my neck is no longer tight on the right side.I purchased this item with very little to no expectation on results, but thus far I'm very pleased with what it has done in just the first day. I'll continue to use this and hopefully it will continue to help release those deep tension areas that I'm otherwise not able to get with things like tennis balls or other massagers.

This is expensive but they haven’t changed their pricing much for a long time now (that could be good because it was the same high price before the pandemic).It is super durable, don’t plan to break this thing anytime soon and I’m not a featherweight sized person. The orange covering over the aluminum metal is great as it keeps it in place through your clothes, it’s not slipping everywhere.Instructions on using it could be better but did find their short YouTube video to be quite informative.I use this for back spasms and I find that if it’s not working my lower back I actually need to start working the upper back first. I have not used this on the floor but in the bed only and I am able to successfully adjust the amount of pressure/pain that way. This is not pleasant when you’re in pain but I find after being on this for 15-30+ minutes it’s the most relief I can get and better than any chiropractor (with the exception of one chiropractor) Ive had in the past. Also, despite the initial sticker shock chiropractors are now as expensive for one visit.To ensure my knots are gone I often just fall asleep on it (probably not recommended by manufacturer). It’s just an indicator that the initial pain does go away once you’ve successfully worked the trigger points. The design is great because you’re working both sides of the back evenly every time.
